Speakers at the April 21st Whatcom BNI meeting were Phil Rose from Phil Rose Photography and Midline Design, and Patricia Craddock from Prepaid Legal.
Phil Rose is a photographer and graphic designer. His professional photography includes a wide range of kid portraits, weddings, commercial applications, and more. In his presentation, Phil shared an unusually beautiful style of journalistic photography for weddings and events. With this journalistic style, he is able to capture illusive moments and stories within events and between people without being front and center at the proceedings. Phil uses similarly unusual approaches to his portrait photography, especially with kids. By getting them to forget that the camera is there, he captures more than ‘cute’, and photographs a part of who they are.

Dylan Charrier is a decorative painter who specializes in residential painting, as well as trompe l’oeil, venetian plasters, and other artisian painted finishes. His exquisite portfolio begins in the South of France where he painted entire buildings to fool the eye into seeing more than was there.
